A new concept by Privé at the Keppel Marina called Privé Grill. Ordered medium rare NZ tenderloin and was not disappointed at all. Sides were generous and tasty. The fries in particular were excellent (and being from Belgium I have high standards for fries 😜). My wife had a vegetarian option: cauliflower with kale and hummus. It’s a rather spicy dish and was really excellent.
Great steakhouse at reasonable prices (you can get a hanger or flat iron for $35++), in the charming settings of the Keppel Marina. Perfect for a romantic date! Service was friendly but however slow.
The food is pretty decent. We ordered the platter for 2. With comes with fried cod, garlic calamari, mussels, class and soft shell crab. The set also comes with a platter of oysters and tuna salad. Oysters are pretty fresh. Portions are good. We also had the trout carpaccio. I enjoyed the food and the really beautiful scenery. Look out towards the jetty is really peaceful and enjoyable. The staff are also pretty attentive. The only drawback is that it's better accessible when you drive.
in all candid fairness, perhaps we aren’t the target demographic.
with that said, we don’t understand how (???) any of the food here warrants the asking price point. the food was expensive fullstop and nothing to rave about. it’s literally just. expensive.
location, rental etc we get it! but why serve food that’s so painfully mid. some of it genuinely tasted microwaved (the seafood especially) and the risotto was good, but a week later we realised that while it was good, it was just. good. not really worthy of a hefty price tag. the Mac and Cheese tasted seriously home made, and not in a good way. lastly, the second sharing platter we ordered consisted of fried everything, and at that point all we could do was gaze off into the view and gaslight ourselves into thinking the food was as good as the view.
if you’re an ambience sorta person, not much of a foodie and want a romantic dinner where your partner’s eyes distract you from the mid mid mid food and the accompanying price tag, then by all means, go ahead.
bonus extra 1 star for being pet-friendly.

Great ambience. Not too crowded on a weekend.
Ordered the sharing seafood platter, and was largely disappointing for its price point ($90). Oysters weren't fresh. Fried portions were too oily. Fish was over fried.
Food took a tat long to serve though there were much patrons at time of visit.
Staff were friendly and checked in on us for feedback on the food. Loved that they were pet friendly so furkids could come along.
Truth is, I would come back again to try again but prolly will try our other dishes on the menu. :)
Romantic and breezy ambience, it’s sure to impress your family and friends. Serves mainly seafood with a few meat and vegan dishes. We had the grain fed beef, clam bucket, prawn pasta and barracuda. Very satisfied with all the dishes. Was recommended a bottle of white wine (Good company, NZ) and it’s fantastic - fruity, citrusy… will be back for more. Only con is you probably need to drive here, no public transport.
Love this place.. sat outdoor facing a nice view and breeze.. amazing and relaxing ambience that u can relax all day. Food is good but wouldn’t wow me. Nonetheless, it’s an overall great experience and highly recommend to all
We had a lovely afternoon at Bayswater kitchen enjoying some seafood.
The venue is lovely and has comfortable outdoor seating which is perfect for a sunny day.
We had oysters and the seafood feast. The food was ok but I feel the seafood feast could be improved as the fried items were oily and the prawns quite dried out, but the calamari was very good. The oysters were served nice and cold.
It’s a lovely venue with great potential but I think there are better options available on the island.
